Weight management
Weight change is biology, not just arithmetic.
We map the metabolism, hormones and blood sugar handling underneath the scales, so any plan you follow fits your physiology.
Why it matters
What the scales don't tell you
Thyroid function, blood sugar handling, hormones, inflammation and nutrient status all shape how your body stores and burns energy. A standard panel can read 'normal' — but normal is not the same as optimal, and without the full picture it is hard to know what is worth changing.
'Normal' on a standard panel is not the same as optimal for your metabolism.
Calculated insulin-resistance and adiposity indices help show what is driving your weight, not just that it is shifting.
Who it is for
For adults who feel weight change is harder than it should be — and want evidence rather than another opinion.
Choose your level
From a safety baseline to the full metabolic picture
Each level builds on the last — starting with the checks that quietly work against weight change, adding hormones, measurements and metabolic indices as you go.
Weight Tier 2: Metabolic Optimiser
This second-tier test goes beyond a safety baseline to look at what may be shaping your weight: a full sex hormone and thyroid profile, HbA1c and glucose, a detailed lipid panel including apolipoprotein B, hs-CRP, vitamin D, active B12 and folate, full blood count, liver and kidney markers, alongside height, weight and waist circumference recorded in clinic. Together with indices such as TyG, METS-IR, BMI, waist-to-height ratio and the Fatty Liver Index, the 66 data points give you a detailed picture to discuss, and a baseline to re-test against.

From booking to plan
How it works
A straightforward journey from question to clear, clinician-reviewed answers.
- 1
Choose your level
Book one appointment; higher tiers add in-clinic measurements and blood pressure.
- 2
Blood sample
Covering thyroid, blood sugar, hormones, inflammation and nutritional status.
- 3
Clinician review
Your metabolic markers read together, against optimal ranges.
- 4
Practical first changes
An honest, personalised picture and a plan you can act on — plus a baseline to re-test against.
Not sure which is right?
Ask our guide about pathways, levels and markers.
Tell me what you'd like to get out of testing, or what you've been noticing, and I'll point you to the right pathway and level. I can also explain any marker.
General information about our testing only — not medical advice, and it can't interpret results. For anything urgent, contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.
