Gut health
Gut symptoms are rarely about the gut alone.
We measure your digestive markers alongside the systems that shape them — inflammation, nutrient absorption, liver and metabolic health — and a registered clinician reads them together.
Why it matters
Why symptoms persist with 'normal' results
Digestive complaints are often investigated one test at a time, each result judged against a disease threshold. When everything comes back 'normal' you are still left with the symptoms — and no explanation. This pathway looks wider, and reads the results as one picture.
One 'normal' result doesn't explain how you feel. The pattern across systems often does.
Gut inflammation, digestive enzymes, nutrient absorption and the microbiome are read together, not in isolation.
Who it is for
For anyone whose digestion has been unpredictable for a while — and who wants it looked at properly rather than one test at a time.
Choose your level
Start with the baseline, go as deep as you need
Every tier shares the same verified core of gut, inflammation and absorption markers — higher tiers add the allergy and microbiome work.
Gut Tier 2: Allergy & Gut Investigator
This step reads four calculated ratios rather than single figures: your Neutrophil : Lymphocyte Ratio, Urea : Creatinine Ratio, GGT : ALT Ratio and the AST : ALT (De Ritis) Ratio. Together they place immune balance alongside liver and kidney function, showing the shape of a pattern rather than isolated numbers. It suits you if your questions did not stop at a baseline and you want context for ongoing digestive symptoms or fatigue. You get a clinician's interpretation, a personalised action plan and a reference point you can re-test against. It sits alongside NHS care, not in place of it.

How it works
A straightforward journey from question to clear, clinician-reviewed answers.
- 1
Choose your level
All samples for your tier are collected at one visit.
- 2
Blood and stool samples
Covering gut inflammation, H. pylori, digestive enzymes and absorption markers.
- 3
Go deeper if you need it
Higher tiers add food intolerance and allergy testing, and gut microbiome analysis.
- 4
Clinician review
A registered clinician explains the pattern and your practical next steps.
Not sure which is right?
Ask our guide about pathways, levels and markers.
Tell me what you'd like to get out of testing, or what you've been noticing, and I'll point you to the right pathway and level. I can also explain any marker.
General information about our testing only — not medical advice, and it can't interpret results. For anything urgent, contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999 in an emergency.
